About Jamie

I love being a therapist, and I love helping people grow. I know firsthand the power of therapy, both personally and professionally. I’ve sat on both sides of the couch, and I believe that transformation happens when we feel safe enough to be seen, heard, and understood.

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked in various counseling and human service settings, supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. My passion lies in helping people move past limiting beliefs, uncover their strengths, and create meaningful change in their lives.

In addition to my therapy practice, I teach future helping professionals at Old Dominion University, where I guide students in developing the skills they need to support individuals and communities. I love balancing my clinical work with teaching, and I’m passionate about shaping the next generation of helpers.

When I’m not working, I’m at home in Suffolk with my family, which includes three lively kids and two dogs. I enjoy reading, watching baseball games, listening to music, and finding time to recharge so I can show up fully for my clients and students.
